Lessons are scheduled to take place weekly during state school term dates. Students are enrolled for the academic year however notice may be given at the start or end of a half term to cease at the end of the following half term. If notice is not given the half term's fees will still be due.
*
I understand
Fees are billed half termly in advance and payment must be received by the due date. Surrey Music School reserves the right not to give lessons where fees are outstanding and no credit will be given for lessons not given owing to late payment. Notice of a fee increase will be given no less than four weeks in advance.

I understand
Students who have lessons during the school day and will not be able to attend because of a school trip must give two weeks' notice of the trip to allow the lesson to be rescheduled. If two week's notice is not received the lesson will be forfeited. This wavier does not apply to students who have lessons during after school hours.
*
I understand
Lessons missed by the student for any other reason than the exception described above are not made up or refunded. Lessons missed by the teacher will be credited to the following half term's invoice.
*
I understand
No performances in public, competition, exams etc. may be given without the consent of the teacher. This is to ensure the student is well prepared for any performance and so is well placed to have a positive experience.
*
I understand
I undertake to purchase music as requested by the teacher.
*
I understand
I undertake to provide a quiet, distraction free environment in which my child can practise with a well tuned acoustic piano or a full size, touch sensitive digital keyboard / piano. I also undertake to provide support to my child during practice time as necessary and help establish a regular playing routine.
*
I understand
I understand that my child will be enrolled in the online classroom.
*
I understand
In the event of unforseen events (including but not limited to pandemics, snow days, strikes and so on) where schools close during term time, lessons will continue online without interruption and all the above terms of business still apply. Any spaces that arise from students not taking online lessons may be offered to people on the waiting list and places may not be held.
